How to Really Fish Money Guide

Cash is the only reason to recast after the first Kraken. How to Really Fish pays you when a creature is dead, optionally cooked, and sold — not when it is still screaming on the dock. This page is the economy. Combat lives on how to fight. Catching lives on how to catch.

The sell rule

Sell: common fish, sharks you are not quested to keep, duplicates, cooked stacks.

Never sell until NPCs are done: named shells, fins, heads, kraken pieces, whale trophies, anything an NPC just described. The boss page exists because players vendor the key to the next island.

If the backpack is full, cook or sell commons, not the unique item. Extra slots are worth more than a cosmetic hat.

Cooking (Camp Cook)

Camp Cook is a majority badge, so a cook station is on the early map. Hold a sellable fish in the cook interaction until the multiplier ticks. Cooking is the free damage-to-wallet conversion. Raw shrimp pays tuition. Cooked shrimp pays the shotgun.

Do not cook a trophy you have not shown to NPCs. Do not cook the last food you needed to survive a whale if you are about to fight. A teammate on co-op can cook while you shoot.

If a patch adds an “uncook” or burnt-gear joke, it will show up on the weekly tracker. Until then, assume cooked fish is for selling or eating, not for bait, unless a shop says otherwise.

Badge economy so you know you are slow

• First $100 — most accounts. One or two cooked stacks.
• First $1000 — one in five. This is where people stall by buying the wrong gun.
• First $10,000 — under ten percent. This is a loop problem, not a luck problem.

If you are stuck under $1000, you are either selling trophies, skipping cook, or recasting with a lure that only hooks trash. Fix one of those using the lure list before you buy Dual Uzis.

Golden Rod math

Golden Rod is 399 Robux forever. Official text: every ordinary fish you hook becomes golden and sells for 2x normal value. Bosses excluded. No change to rarity, catch chance, or weight. It works in How to Really Fish, not in other fishing games.

Buy it when your hands already complete the loop and you want the same casts to pay double. Do not buy it to “find myth fish.” Myth Confirmed is a badge about rarity, not about gold skins.

Dual Uzis (259 Robux) are a fight purchase, not a money purchase. They can speed Kraken clears, which indirectly speeds cash, but they do not multiply vendor prices.

Session route

1. Redeem a code if the codes hub finally lists one.
2. Cast commons on the starter dock. Cook. Sell. Repeat until a cheap gun is owned.
3. Clear Kraken. Bag the trophy. Talk. Then sell the rest.
4. Move along the shore for sharks. Cook stacks. Do not wander into a 2500 HP whale broke.
5. When cash covers a long gun and food, take the whale with a friend.
6. Recycle the loop after every weekly update because shops move in beta.

Solo players should over-cook. Co-op players should assign a banker so four people do not vendor the same trophy.

Sinks that feel rich and are not

• Cosmetics
• A second pet slot while you have zero pets (the pass was off-sale in the September snapshot anyway)
• Replacing a working shotgun with Dual Uzis before $1000
• Buying a boss lure with no ammo

Money exists to remove the next wall: a lure for the local pool, a gun you can aim, a slot for a trophy. If a purchase does not do one of those three, walk away from the shop and recast.
