Weapon Tier List

Weapons in How to Really Fish exist because landed fish fight back. This list ranks what we can verify from the Roblox catalog, official art, and the fight guide. Cash prices move in weekly updates, so treat Robux passes as the only stable SKUs.

S tier

Sniper / long rifle (cash). The Giant Whale screenshot is a sniper screenshot. When the project is 2500 HP, hip-fire pistols are a joke. Right Click aim, shoot, reload behind the red house. Buy this when money can cover it without selling a trophy.

Dual Uzis [Forever] (259 Robux). Full-auto on a crowded dock. Excellent for Kraken and shark piles. Not required. If you already farm efficiently, Uzis buy time, not skill. They do not multiply vendor prices.

A tier

Shotgun (cash). The workhorse. Official art shows shotgun blasts into clawed fish and sharks. Forgives aim, punishes people standing in the water because knockback still exists. This is the gun the beginner guide wants you to own before any pass.

Pistol (cash). Fine until sharks. Cheap. Replace it; do not defend it.

B tier

Starter melee / knife if the shop sells one. Useful when a shrimp is on the planks and you have not bought a gun. Useless on whale HP. If a weekly vending machine adds a gimmick melee, it starts here until proven.

C tier

Fists. They exist. They earn deaths. Sleeping with the Fishes (~73%) is a popular badge for a reason. Fists are for the tutorial fish while you walk to the gun shop, not for a plan.

D tier / not weapons

Golden Rod. 399 Robux. Rod pass. 2x ordinary sells, bosses excluded. Ranking it as a gun is how people open a whale fight with a fishing pole. See lures.

Second pet slot. Not a weapon, not for sale in the September snapshot, does not shoot sharks.

Publish Tool Test Pass. A leftover catalog row. Ignore it.

Buying order

  1. Cash shotgun after First $100.
  2. Ammo and cooked food.
  3. Sniper when the whale is the next goal.
  4. Dual Uzis only if Robux is already in the account and dock fights feel slow.
  5. Never Golden Rod as a “weapon upgrade.”

That order exists because First $1000 (~21%) is the real filter and First $10,000 (~8%) is a loop problem. Players who skip the shotgun for Uzis still need food and a wall. Players who skip food for a sniper still die to knockback. Spend on the wall you actually hit.

Co-op parties should not all buy Uzis. One long gun, one shotgun, one person still holding a rod is a better triangle. Solo should pick the shotgun and live with slower whale times.

On a 50-player dock, full-auto is as dangerous to your teammates’ cameras as it is to the fish. Fan out. Do not stand in the landing tile. Uzis shine when two sharks flop at once; they waste ammo when you hip-fire a 2500 HP whale from ten meters.

Reload behind cover. The red dock house in official art is not scenery; it is the reload cubby. If you reload facing the sea, you are farming Sleeping with the Fishes instead of cash.

Match the gun to the fish you actually hook. A mid lure plus a shotgun is an A-tier session. A boss lure plus fists is a D-tier session no matter what a YouTuber equipped.

What we will not invent

Exact DPS numbers, pellet counts, and headshot multipliers are not printed by the studio. Anyone quoting Steam How to Fish 360-no-scope multipliers is talking about another game. When Crazy Fishing Friends publishes stats, they will land on the updates hub first.

Use this page next to lures and fish. A rank is a shopping suggestion, not a personality.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for How to Really Fish on Roblox.

Best free weapon?

Fists until you sell enough cooked fish for a shotgun. That is the money loop.

Are Dual Uzis pay-to-win?

They are pay-to-faster on docks. The whale still wants a long gun and positioning from the fight guide.

Should I buy Golden Rod or Uzis first?

Uzis if fights are the wall. Golden Rod if the loop is already smooth and you want 2x ordinary sells.

Do weapons transfer to Steam How to Fish?

No. Different product.
