Solo in How to Really Fish is official. The Roblox experience does not require a party to load, to catch, or to earn Kraken Slayer. It requires more patience on a 2500 HP whale and stricter bag discipline because nobody else will stop you from vending a shell. If you have friends, the better page is co-op.

Why solo feels harder than it is

You swap tools constantly. Left Click is cast one second and trigger the next. That is a controls problem you can practice on shrimp. It is not a missing co-op tax. The real solo tax is downtime: cooking while a shark despawns, reloading with nobody covering, walking back from a water knockback.

Play slower than the YouTube complete-game videos. Those creators already own guns. You do not.

Route

1. Getting Started through First Catch and First $100.
2. Cook everything common. You do not have a dedicated cook, so every fish is also dinner. Money.
3. Buy a cash shotgun. Do not window-shop Dual Uzis until the Kraken is dead once.
4. Kraken on a clear dock. If strangers are cluttering the tile, walk. You can wait. They will leave or die.
5. Keep the trophy, talk to NPCs, then farm sharks until a long gun is realistic.
6. Whale only with food, ammo, and a wall. Abort if the server is a circus.

Kraken Slayer sitting near 93% is your proof that this fight is a solo tutorial, not a raid. Stuff of Legends (~2.3%) and Myth Confirmed (~0.9%) are not a solo skill check; they are rare rolls. Do not stall your cash loop waiting for them.

Using a 50-player server as a solo

Strangers are moving cover and moving threats. Let them burn a shark, then recast in the hole they leave. Do not hook a boss lure into their pile. If someone helps on your whale, bag the trophy immediately. You are not obligated to split a unique drop with a random, but you are obligated not to drop it in the water while typing.

If the dock is unplayable, hop servers. Roblox makes that easy. A quiet server is a solo item. On a 9k concurrent snapshot, the public servers fill to 50 fast — hop twice before you waste a boss lure.

Watch for Sleeping with the Fishes (~73%). That badge is common because solos reload facing the sea. After every shark, take two steps inland before you recast. That habit is worth more than Dual Uzis on a first account.

Loadout for one body

• Rod plus mid lure (see lures)
• Shotgun first, sniper later (weapons)
• Cooked stack for heals
• Empty slot for a named drop
• Golden Rod only if the loop is already boring and you want 2x ordinary sells

Pets are optional. A second pet slot does nothing for a solo who does not have a first pet. The pass was not even for sale in the September catalog snapshot, so do not plan a solo farm around it.

Ammo math is a solo problem. A 2500 HP whale eats a pistol magazine and then eats you. Count shots on sharks first. If a dock shark takes more than a clip, you are not ready. Cook a stack, buy the long gun, then come back. Aborting a whale with 1800 HP left is cheaper than dying and losing the landing tile to a stranger.

Mental keep rule

Write it on a sticky if you must: unique name = NPC first. Solo players fail this more than groups because there is no friend yelling. The boss page will not come to your house. First $10,000 (~8%) is the real solo filter, and it is a spending filter. People who vendor a kraken piece to “finish the shotgun” stay under that badge for weeks.

When to stop being solo

If the whale takes all of your ammo twice, invite one gunner. That is still a tiny party, not a raid. You do not need 50 friends. You need one person who read how to fight. Keep the banker job on yourself so the trophy does not walk away.

Codes, if they appear on the codes hub, are a solo bonus. Redeem before the long circuit using how to redeem. A boost that fires while you are already in a whale fight is a wasted toast.

Check weekly before a long solo night. Shops move. A lure you farmed yesterday can be a dead SKU after a Thursday bump. Recast a cheap fish first, then commit cash.

Solo is a valid way to play this beta. It is not a speedrun category you owe anyone. Cast, cook, keep trophies, log off before a weekly update knocks you into the sea.
