How to Really Fish opened as a Roblox public beta on 24 August 2026 under Crazy Fishing Friends. The description still calls it beta, still promises weekly work, and still teases new islands. This page is the long-view companion to the weekly tracker. It tells you what to hoard while the map is unfinished.

What “beta” means for your bag

Shops move. Remotes break scripts (good). Ground drops may fail to persist. A trophy you left on the dock overnight is not a savings account. Sell commons, keep uniques in the backpack, log off on wood.

Purchases are marked final for Robux and in-game cash in the spirit of most Roblox betas. Dual Uzis and Golden Rod are forever passes — if you buy them, assume they stay on the account even when islands shuffle. The second pet slot row appearing off-sale is typical beta catalog noise. Publish Tool Test Pass is leftover catalog junk; do not buy it and do not plan around it.

Expect the HUD to wander. Codes buttons, shop icons, and cook prompts can move after a Thursday bump. If Left Click suddenly types instead of casts, you are in a field, not a broken rod — close it using how to redeem patterns, then recast a cheap fish.

Islands

“New islands coming soon” is official text, not a fan leak. Until an island is loadable in a server you can screenshot, do not follow Steam How to Fish lighthouse → forest → desert routes. Do not spend a unique kraken piece “because the new island might want cash.” Islands usually want the named drop. You can farm cash again. You cannot un-sell a beak.

Systems already real

Catching, fighting, cooking, Kraken, Giant Whale HP art, cash badges, legend/myth badges, pets as a concept, 50-player servers, online friends. You can finish a satisfying loop today. You do not need to wait for the roadmap to get started.

Badge rates are a beta thermometer. Kraken Slayer near 93% means the early boss is in. First $10,000 near 8% means the economy is a grind, not a missing island. Master Angler near 0.3% is time, not a locked zone. Play the loop that exists.

Systems that are wishes

A full published bait table, Steam-style encyclopedia key, official Trello, confirmed public codes (see codes), a for-sale second pet slot, and a studio Discord invite we can hardcode. Treat community spreadsheets as rumors until they match in-game shop text. Confirm links on the links hub.

How to play a moving target

• Recast a cheap fish after every patch before you spend.
• Keep one unique drop per boss type.
• Do not import Steam patch numbers into chat.
• Watch the group shout via the links hub.
• If a vendor vanishes, check weekly before you assume a wipe of the whole economy.
• Buy guns and mid lures that solve today’s dock, not a TP menu of islands that are still a sentence on the Roblox page.
