How to Really Fish Co-op

Split hook, guns, and cooking so the whale dies and the trophy stays.

Co-op Guide

The official How to Really Fish description tells you to play with friends to beat bosses easier. That is the whole pitch. This page is how to do it without four people vendor the same kraken beak. Solo players should open solo instead.

Forming a party on Roblox

Join from the same experience page, then use Roblox’s party / server follow tools. The studio does not need a custom lobby ID for a dock. If you land on different islands after a teleport patch, rejoin from the leader. 50-player servers mean you will see strangers; ignore them unless they steal a landing tile.

Voice chat is listed as not supported on some Roblox pages, so use Discord or the Roblox app chat. Call shots for bosses before you cast a boss lure.

Three jobs

Hooker. Stays on the rod. Reads how to catch. Does not swap to Dual Uzis when a shark appears unless the gunner is down.

Gunner. Stays on a shotgun or sniper. Reads how to fight. Stands with a wall behind them, not the ocean.

Cook / banker. Owns the camp station and the trophy bag. Reads money. Has veto power on selling. If this job is vacant, unique drops will vanish into a stranger’s shop prompt.

A duo can merge cook into gunner. A solo cannot magically become three people; that is the other page.

Trophy law

Before the first Kraken, say out loud: unique names stay in the banker inventory until NPCs are done. Golden Rod does not double boss sells, so there is no “I sold it for gold” excuse. If two people hook two Krakens, you keep two trophies, you do not vendor one “because we already have it” until a quest says duplicates are junk.

Combat spacing

Do not stand in the landing circle. A hooked whale dropping onto four avatars is a cartoon and a wipe. Gunners fan out along the house wall. Hooker stands seaward only during the cast, then walks inland.

Reload staggering matters on the 2500 HP whale. If both snipers click empty together, the fish gets a free knockback window. Count reloads like a raid, even if you are laughing.

Loot and Robux passes

Passes are per account. Dual Uzis on one friend do not appear in your hands. Golden Rod goldens that player’s ordinary fish only. Do not skip a cash shotgun because “our tank has Uzis.”

Pets should sit off the dock. A second pet slot is not a co-op mechanic.

Codes and accounts

Each person redeems their own string using how to redeem. There is no party code. If the codes hub is empty, do not stall the session waiting for one.

Etiquette on a full server

You do not own the pier. Recast past the crowd. Do not dump a boss lure on a dock where twelve strangers are already fighting a shark — you will spawn chaos and lose the trophy in the mess. Walk.

If a stranger helps on the whale, they are not automatically entitled to the named drop, but screaming in chat will not help either. Bag it fast, say thanks, move to NPCs.

After the session

Park extra cooked stacks in one person so the next weekly update does not leave four half-empty bags. Then send the group the weapon and lure pages so the next night is not four D-tier shopping sprees.

Co-op is how this Roblox beta wants to be played at whale scale. If your friends never learned controls, you do not have a co-op problem. You have a tutorial problem. Send them Getting Started and go fish shrimp until they can aim.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for How to Really Fish on Roblox.

How many friends should I bring?

Two extra people is enough for the whale. Fifty strangers is a server, not a party.

Who keeps the trophy?

One banker. Decide before the cast. See the keep rule on bosses.

Can we share Golden Rod?

No. Gamepasses are per account.

Is voice required?

No, but text chat is slow mid-whale. Use any external voice.
